I made a complaint. How long do I have to wait before something is done?
Complaints are assigned and addressed within 48 hours. Immediate life safety violations are given priority. Depending on the nature of the complaint, the code compliance officer may need to send a letter and schedule an inspection with the property owner. As each case may vary in complexity, so may the time required to bring the violation into compliance. If requested, the code compliance officer will contact you after the initial inspection to inform you of the impending action. Extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis for extenuating circumstances and special conditions.
