Riding Club Road Closure

Riding Club Road Closure

With the approval of the Road Bond Projects in May 2021, we would like to inform you that construction on Woodcreek Blvd. railroad crossing will begin on August 15, 2022. As part of the agreement with Dallas, Garland, & Northeastern Railroad Inc. and the City of Fate, the construction of a new grade crossing (Woodcreek Blvd) required the elimination of the Black Oak crossing and the Riding Club Road crossing. Due to the elimination of these crossings, Riding Club Road closure will be effective August 17, 2022, and will be a dead end coming west from N. Stodghill Road. Exhibit A has been attached to show the closure.

As we progress with the Road Bond Projects, the realignment of Riding Club Road will begin construction in the next fiscal year. See Exhibit B for the new Riding Club Road design. Once the realignment construction is complete, Riding Club Road will be reopened for normal operations. We estimate this project to be completed in 12-14 months, weather permitting.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this project may create. Throughout this process, the City of Fate will continue to provide communication and transparency to the residents affected by this closure. We look forward to being able to provide an improved version of Riding Club Road to area residents and businesses.
