Police and Fire Report Public Information Records Request

In accordance with the Texas Public Information Act, Public Information requests must be submitted in writing. Requests should be for documents, or other information that is already in existence. The City of Fate is not required to answer questions, perform legal research, or comply with a continuing request to supply information on a periodic basis. The City of Fate may, however ask for clarification of Requests if it is uncertain as to what is being requested. Some records of the City of Fate may be exempt from disclosure.

When making a request for public information, please keep in mind that some information may accrue a cost to process. Should the office determine that your request will be in excess of $40, a cost estimate will be provided to you. There are several ways to request information from the Fate Department of Public Safety. The preferred method is through the Fate Public Records Center. Requests may also be submitted to the Fate DPS Records using any of the following methods:

Racial Profiling Reports

This particular report contains three sections with information on motor vehicle-related contact data. In addition, when appropriate, documentation is also a component of this report, aiming at demonstrating the manner in which the Fate Police Department has complied with the Texas Racial Profiling Law.
