May 4, 2024 - City of Fate General Election Important Information
The next General Election will be on Saturday, May 4, 2024, for the purpose of electing two City Council Members, Places 1 and 5, each for a three-year term. The incumbents are eligible to run for re-election should they choose to do so. The incumbents include Council Member Heather Buegeler (Place 1) and Council Member Jim DeLand (Place 5).

City Council Elections
Members of the City Council are elected for three-year terms on a nonpartisan basis. The Council is made up of seven members: a Mayor and six Council members. The Mayor is elected by the entire city. All six Council Members are also elected by the entire city. Once elected, Council members choose the Mayor Pro Tem and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem from among the elected members.
