Board Qualifications
Applicants who are qualified voters of the City may be appointed to serve on a Board or Commission. Applicants should be able to commit the required volunteer time for board service as well as show an interest in the specific workings of the Board or Commission; and in some cases, more specific qualifications regarding knowledge or licensing in a specific field.
Board Appointment Process
The City has a number of Boards and Commissions which have been established by City Charter, City Council, or State Law. The annual application period for boards and commission positions with expiring terms and known vacancies begin in May and appointments will be made in accordance with the
City of Fate Appointment Policy.
